Once again, Rho Sigma led Team Arkadelphia to top fund-raising honors in the annual MS Walk in Little Rock in April. 2016 marked the tenth year the Red Shirts have been the top MS Walk fundraisers in Arkansas.
Team Arkadelphia is captained by 1981 Red Shirt alumnus Russell Strickland, a 1984 OBU graduate who is himself stricken with multiple sclerosis. Strickland has been the top fund-raiser for the MS Society in both Alaska and Arkansas every year he has participated. To date, his teams have raised more than a quarter million dollars for the cause.
Rho Sigma and Team Arkadelphia have placed first in the state in both fund-raising and team spirit every year since 2006. Team Arkadelphia was far ahead of its nearest competitor.
Strickland has received numerous accolades for his work for MS, including a certificate of recognition from Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe.
